Year 1: $9,500,000 Year 2: $10,250,000 Year 3: $11,000,000 Year 4: $11,750,000 Year 5: $13,500,000 (PO) Year 6: $14,500,000 (PO)
Brook took a paycut as he believes the Nets will build enough help around him to contend. If they fail to do so, he'll be an unrestricted FA at the ripe age of 27 to sign another big extension.

Brookyln accepts, building a contender should be no problem when we feel we are there already

oh right, you can only give 5 years max for an extension, so the last year will be taken off and I will keep the last two years Player Options.

CBA only allows for 5 year extensions (with birds) and 4 year offers to non bird players.

CBA only allows for 5 year extensions (with birds) and 4 year offers to non bird players. Non Bird players can't be offered extensions. Max duration of a contract is different if it's an extension or an offer at FA. Max duration of an extension is 5 years. Except for rookies, they can't be extended for more than 4 years. (Fyi commish Brook is still on rookie contract so 4 years max for him)

Andddd a player CAN be offered an extension without bird years, but they cannot offer him the 120 or 110.5%
