He gets the Spurs MLE.
He could have been paid more in other teams but he absolutely wants to be part of San Antonio's future : being the PG starter of a team with James Harden, Kevin Love and Andrew Bynum is huge.
The Spurs will have his Bird Rights next year so he will be able to get a longer deal.
(Btw I still don't know if the Spurs would have been able to match an offer like 5M$ 10% 3 years... I prefer to do this because the rules are not clear on the subject...)
