I'm getting alot of complaints about the sim schedule and how it's going too fast, so I decided to add an off day the sim before a 20 day sim, this would effect preseason,all star weekend, sim 8 (sim before trade deadline sim) and the trade deadline sim. If the league is still too fast then we can adjust again, just trying to find that balance of speeding through seasons and dragging through seasons. Also another change I will make to the schedule is making it so the league has to be filled before we start the draft, reason for that is so more people do their finances, and more teams can sign FA's come free agency time. I'm still firing people who don't do their finances though.

Another thing I want to ask and have a poll up top for, is what people want to do as far as future drafts, I'm thinking we might stop in 2016 as far as drafting current high school/college players. So I'm giving people the option to vote for what they want to do after that, you can either draft fake players, or we can go retro and draft players who previously played in the NBA (don't expect me to start with the 84 draft, probably be 86-88).

Why you might vote for a retro draft:
familiar with players
anyone who goes nuts over retro leagues (sure there's some of you out there).
you get a 2nd shot at drafting players like Kobe,KG,LeBron etc
draft strengths are known

why you might vote for a fake player draft:
draft strength is random
prevents tanking, somewhat
could get creative with names
might not have done a fake player league before (or atleast, I haven't)

I vote retro and I think it should be random as to the year of the draft each season, helps with tanking a little bit.

So maybe assign a possiblility of 12 draft years.

List them with a dice number so:

2-1958
3-1989
4-1990
5-1978
6-1967
7-2009
8-2006
9-2002
10-2001
11-1970
12-1980

Roll two six sided dice and bingo that is the draft for the season. Announce at all-star break. Then replace the one picked in the list with a new year.

Definitely. It takes the fun out of developing players. With retro players, you know what you're going to get. There are no surprises in the draft when you know exactly how everyone's career played out.

fake is much better i believe. drafts will be more interesting, there can be some unexpected stuff going on etc. That should be also much more funny for agents and commish (creating some hidden talents etc) and dont wanna to see kareem playing in 2020 lol

With fake, it is much harder to attract NEW Gm's to the league. Just a heads up to everyone.

Another option, use the college game. Sim an entire season at All-Star Break and let the game create the draft classes (maybe just scale them back a bit if they overrate players).

depends on the person i think. when i see jerry west playing together with kevin durant in other leagues it make me sick :>
imho league doesnt need legends from the past, league should create its own, new legends.
