Why not have a EuroLeague draft with current EuroLeague players? Obviously at a much younger age.
And another draft with busts or guys who's careers were cut short due to injury, which again would be random whether they develop well or bust in the league again, ala Livingston, Darko, Jay Williams, etc.
And another couple of drafts with small conference schools no one cares about like a Big West draft, a Patriot League draft, Big South draft, Big Sky draft, etc.
On top of it, why do retro draft files have to follow real life? Why can't Michael Jordan end up being only a 20/4/4 guy in our draft file, for example? Potentials can be adjusted as well to make it more fun and make GMs earn $$$ to scout players POTs

With fake, it is much harder to attract NEW Gm's to the league. Just a heads up to everyone.Another option, use the college game. Sim an entire season at All-Star Break and let the game create the draft classes (maybe just scale them back a bit if they overrate players). I could see that, but since we aren't going to be a fresh new team at that point, it will be hard recruiting in general. I do like fake players from all 3 perspectives of this league (commish,agent,GM) I obviously like it for myself, because I can do something interesting stuff with players that I can't do with RL players (no, I'm not doing any C's with A's in handles). For agents, you get the mystery factor, so that might help you in getting more money for your players come signing time (who knows) and for GM's you get to really prove how good at drafting you are. |

depends on the person i think. when i see jerry west playing together with kevin durant in other leagues it make me sick :> imho league doesnt need legends from the past, league should create its own, new legends. Agreed |
